50% of the over-26s and 60% of the 6-25s will buy a SwissEcoPass, i.e. 4.21 million annual subscriptions.
Currently 4.5 Mio. Mobility Switzerland subscriptions are sold every year.
25% of Swiss residents will buy a SwissHappyPass, i.e. 10.7 million daily travelcards sold every year.
50% of international visitors will buy a SwissHappyPass, i.e. 13.4 million daily travelcards sold every year.
SwissEco Premium services are top-of-the-range services (e.g. 1st Class, Priority Lane, VIP) for a discerning clientele prepared to pay extra to benefit from products and services provided by SwissEco Mobility partners.
The SwissEcoPass and SwissHappyPass offerings will generate an estimated extra 15% in overnight stays by Switzerland’s residents and visitors.
A rise of +0.5 point corresponds to an average annual cost of CHF 232 per resident of Switzerland aged 26 and over (6.26 million persons).
A rise of +5 centimes per litre of petrol corresponds to an average annual cost of CHF 48 per vehicle registered in Switzerland in 2019 (6.16 million vehicles).
No impact on your pocket if you reduce your car journeys by -5% and use SwissEco Mobility 2025 instead.
In addition, the motorway vignette for Swiss vehicle registrations will be abandoned, but maintained for visitors driving into Switzerland with a price increase from CHF 40 to CHF 60.
Public subsidies (3’750 MCHF) will be reduced by -30% as follows:
Confederation: -290 MCHF
Cantons: -565 MCHF
Communes: -270 MCHF
The distribution model between the Confederation, the Cantons and the Communes will have to be defined and agreed between the parties.
The project’s funding rests on 4 pillars.
The business plan targets a positive net result for all SwissEco Mobility 2025 partners.
The business plan’s assumptions are subject to a +/- 10% variance. They will be corrected on the basis of figures provided by the partners and experts in the field.
